As we welcome you, visitors and followers of our institute's activities, we are pleased to address you as an expression of our gratitude for your kind visit and beautiful interest.

The Institute of Arts and Languages was established by virtue of Executive Decree No. 16-230 dated September 1, 2016, which includes the establishment of a university center in Aflou, Laghouat Province. It specifies the list of institutes in the center in its first article. The institute consists of two departments: the Department of Arabic Language and Literature and the Department of Foreign Languages. As we look forward to expanding the activities and departments of our institute, we hope to create a department dedicated to the English language in the near future, in addition to other languages later on.

Our institute has over 900 registered students, who are supervised by 42 permanent professors distributed among the current departments. The training programs cover various fields, including literature, linguistic studies, educational studies, and critical studies in both Arabic and French languages. English language professors also ensure the education of students in the university center's various institutes.

Through its departments, our institute works towards integrating with the social and economic environment through cooperative courses sponsored by the University Center's administration. These courses aim to provide training and workshops for employees in language-related sectors such as education and various public institutions.

Furthermore, the future plans aim to offer professional-oriented training programs at the bachelor's and master's levels in order to provide added value to public life and community institutions, within a general policy based on openness to the world of economic and service institutions.
